Betty Joyce Henson Watford, 80, passed away Sunday, February 15, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family.


 


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, 2015 at Union Hill Baptist Church with Reverend Kyle Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 17, 2015.


 


Serving as active pallbearers will be Ryan Clark, Lynn Brookins, Harlie Halstead, Jimmy Maddox, R.Q. Taylor and Ray Taylor.


 


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her honor to Covenant Hospice, 104 Rock Bridge Road, Dothan, Alabama.


 


Born in Jackson County, Alabama, Betty was a daughter of the late Gus and Lela Mae Nichols Henson and was a member of Union Hill Baptist Church. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother.


 


Surviving are her husband of fifty nine years, Charles Watford, Dothan, AL; two sons and daughter-in-law, Barry Watford and wife Lisa and Brad Watford all of Dothan, AL; a daughter and son-in-law, Karry Watford Clark and husband Scott of Newton, AL; a brother and sister-in-law, John and   Elizabeth Henson; a sister and brother-in-law Mary and  Gene Clark; four grandchildren, Barry Chad Watford, Brooke Watford Altazan, Kara Elizabeth Clark and Ryan Scott Clark.
