Mrs. Bobbie Jean Menifee Harris, of Dothan, AL, passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2016 in Graceville at Signature Healthcare Center. She was 85.

                      

She was born October 23, 1931 in Panama City, FL to the late Raleigh Martin and Velma Harris Martin. She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church since 1948. Mrs. Harris was employed at Dothan Cigar Factory, Burlington Mills and retired from TRW Globe Motors in 1990.

 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Ann Burkett.

 

Survivors include her husband, Wallace Harris; daughters, Janie Bacon ( Ed), Tana Evans (Mike), and Lori Johnson (Darryl); sisters, Sara Travers (Wayne), Sue Grubbs (Billy); brothers, Norman Martin, and Raleigh Martin; grandchildren, Kim Suiter (Steve), Justin Evans (Stephanie), Austin Evans (Hannah), Jake Dye, Ashton Cardaci (Mario); great-grandchildren, Casey Merritt and Maddison Cardaci; and several nieces and nephews. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Signature Health Care and Covenant Hospice. 

 

Funeral services will be held at 11AM, Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Mike Grimes officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends beginning at 10 AM, one hour prior to the service.

 

The family will be accepting flowers or contributions can be made to Grandview Baptist Church, 2400 Forrester Rd, Dothan, Al 36301.
