Mrs. Bonnie Lee Peterman Fortson, age 86, a resident of Dothan, died Monday May 19, 2014 at the Signature Health Care facility in Graceville, FL. following an extended illness. 

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday May 22, 2014 at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery on Hwy. 431 with the Reverend Coley M. Holloway officiating and Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home directing. 

The family will be receiving friends from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. Thursday at Glover Funeral Home.  Flowers will be accepted. 

Mrs. Fortson was born on September 9, 1927 in Houston County the daughter of John Spurgeon Peterman and Lessie Vann Peterman.  She was a lifelong resident of Houston County and was a homemaker.  Mrs. Fortson was a Graduate of Rehobeth High School and a member of the Grandview Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Roy E. Fortson, a son, Chuck Fortson and 3 brothers, Johnny, Lonnie and Irby Bates Peterman. 

She is survived by a son, George Lee Fortson, Dothan; several nieces & nephews and friends. 

Pallbearers will be: John David Peterman, John Moody, Robert Fortson, Jimmy Baker, Harvey Peterman and Harold Peterman. 

Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
