Brenda Joyce Armstrong Deatherage, 66, of Hodgesville, passed away at her home on Sunday, August 16, 2015, surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 18, 2015 at Hodgesville Baptist Church with Reverend Jeff Peacock and Reverend Fred Bacher officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Southern Heritage funeral directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Tuesday at the church prior to the service.

Born in Houston County, Alabama, Brenda was a daughter of Lucille Paulk Armstrong Woodham and the late Freddie Armstrong. She was a 1967 Graduate of Cottonwood High School and worked as a Cosmetologist and in management of retail stores, and apartments. She enjoyed the outdoors and gardening.

In addition to her mother, Brenda is survived by her husband, Virgil Harrison Deatherage, JR, Hodgesville; three sons, Kevin (Wendy) Deatherage, Cottonwood, Keith Deatherage, Dothan and Beau (Kristy) Deatherage, Hodgesville; a brother, William Armstrong, Dothan; a sister, Gail Danford, Dothan; three grandchildren, Dakota, Kendyle and Colier Deatherage.
