Carolyn Chandler, a resident of Cottonwood, died Saturday March 5, 2016 at her residence. She was 89.

Funeral services will be held at 2 PM Monday, March 7, 2016 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Brother Steve Hammond officiating. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Carolyn was born July 27, 1926 in Mississippi to the late Brasil and Hattie Wortham and spent her early life there. She then moved to Plant city, Florida and later moved to Cottonwood in 1991 where she lived the remainder of her life.

Carolyn is preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Ebbie Moore and Charlie Chandler; daughter, Dora Moore; five brothers and two sisters.

Carolyn is survived by thirteen children; Linda Melton, Jimmie Moore and Linda, Chester Moore and Gladys, Nettie Townsell and Lloyd, Melba Chandler and Eugene, Gloria Cunningham, Ronald Moore, Elaine Chandler and Bobby, Wayne Moore and Debbie, Angie Cunningham, Charles Chandler and Penny, Donna Nelson and Larry, Patricia Hancock and Danny; 43 grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren.
