Mrs. Darla Jean Moore Chapman, age 51, a resident of Dothan (formerly of Chancellor), died Friday January 22, 2016 at the home of her sister, following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday January 26, 2016 at the El Bethel Baptist Church in Chancellor with the Reverend Billy Joe Williams officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Kendall Glover directing.

The family will be receiving friends at the church from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. Tuesday prior to services.  Flowers will be accepted.

Mrs. Chapman was born on July 21, 1964 in Geneva the daughter of Roy Lester Moore, Jr. and Linda Gail Benefield Moore.  She worked as a waitress and child caregiver for most of her lifetime.  Mrs. Chapman was a member of the El Bethel Baptist Church and was a 1982 graduate of Coffee Springs High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents; grandparents, Roy Moore, Sr. and Minnie Moore.

Survivors include: 8 sisters & 2 brothers; several nieces & nephews, great nieces & great nephews and many close friends.

Pallbearers will be: Wade Whitehead, Daniel Martin, Cory Hill, Kevin Moore, John Atkins and Doug Davidi.

Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
