Mrs. Delores Harrell Armstrong, 65, wife of Marvin Wayne Armstrong, passed away Tuesday, May 14, 2013 at her residence in Cottonwood, Alabama.


Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Calvary Baptist Church in Cottonwood with Reverend Tony Deese and Reverend John Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Howards Grove Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Friday, May 17, 2013 at the funeral home and at other times will be at the family residence.


Born in Houston County, Alabama, Delores was a daughter of the late Clearence and Johnnie Mae Hall Harrell. She was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Baptist Church.


In addition to her parents, Mrs. Armstrong was preceded in death by two brothers, Bill Harrell and Charles Harrell.


In addition to her husband, she is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Gayle & Charles Deese, Cottonwood, Alabama; three sisters & brothers-in-law, Margaret & Johnny Irwin, Cottonwood, Alabama, Ruth Brownlee, Dothan, Alabama, and Sheila & Randy Brown, Headland, Alabama; three grandchildren, Charles Bradley Deese, Anthony Wayne Deese and Addis Kade Deese.


Serving as active pallbearers will be Danny Joe Kirkland, Little Pat Wells, Kenny Moore, Jeff Hart, Josh Roberts and Alan Crum.
