Mrs. Donnie Christine Donaldson of Hartford passed away Wednesday, April 3, 2013 at Hartford Health Care. She was 93.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6 in Sorrells Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Moody Faulk officiating. Burial will follow at Piney Grove Baptist Church in Samson with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.

The family will receive friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. and will continue until service time.

Mrs. Donaldson was born December 19, 1919 in Geneva County to the late Charlie and Ollie Wise McCollough. She was a member of Heritage Baptist Church in Dothan.

In addition to her parents, her  husband, Joel D. Donaldson; two sons: Oneal and Billy Ray Donaldson; four brothers and one sister all preceded her in death.

Survivors include two daughters: Sandra McCormick and Christie Thomley (Shelby) both of Opelika; two sisters: Kathleen Cobb (Ned), Oak Grove and Sylvia Harrison (Lamar), Atlanta, GA; one brother, Bobby Gene McCollough (Teresa), FL; five grandchildren; Sherry Buie (David), Pamela Coxwell (Terry), David McCormick, Melinda Johnson (Victor) and Tammy Martin (Greg); thirteen  great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
