Dorothy Jeanette Holland, a resident of Gordon, died Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at Donalsonville Hospital in Donalsonville, Georgia. She was 88.

Funeral services for Mrs. Holland will be held at 2 PM Friday, February 7, 2014 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Reverends Willie Parker and Bobby Elliott officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Enon Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 PM until 7 PM Thursday evening at the funeral home. Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to: First Baptist Church Gordon, 19870 E. US 84, Gordon, AL 36343.

Mrs. Holland was born February 26, 1925 to Leon S. and Eddie Lee Watford. She was a member of First Baptist Church Gordon.

Mrs. Holland is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Orea Holland, sister, Nina Watford and a brother, Fred Watford.

Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Holland, Lawrenceville, GA; son and daughter in law, Jerry and Jeanne Holland; a grandson and his fiancé, Seth Holland and Elisabeth Smith, all of Dothan; sister in law, Sue Watford, Quincy, FL; several nieces and nephews.
