Mrs. Edna Joline Brackin Phenicie, age 84, of Dothan passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015.


 


Born June 25, 1931 in Midland City to the late Thurman Dewey and Collier Penn Brackin, Joline was a life-long member of Memphis Baptist Church. She served her country in the Women’s Army Corp (WAC) and worked in civil service until her retirement. Joline enjoyed fishing and playing Scrabble. She loved watching the Atlanta Braves and was an avid Alabama football fan.


 


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Richard Phenicie.


 


Survivors include her daughter, Donna (Rick) Robertson of Newberry, FL; her son, Chuck (Dorothy) Phenicie of High Springs; her sister, Evelyn Forehand of Atlanta, GA; her brother, Bill Brackin of San Antonio, TX; cousins, Mike (Gloria) Brackin of Dothan; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.


 


Funeral services will be held at 2 PM (CST), Tuesday, October 27, 2015 from Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rick Glenn officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2 PM (CST), Tuesday, October 27, 2015 one hour prior to service time.


 


The family will be accepting flowers.
