Mrs. Elsie Ray Adams of Dothan passed away Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at her residence. She was 79.
Funeral services will be held at 2 P.M. Thursday, October 10, 2013, at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Don Clark officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday, October 9, 2013. Flowers will be accepted.
Mrs. Adams worked at Dothan Hosery, Warner Brothers, and Wex-tex. She enjoyed spending time her family and friends. She was a very devoted and loving mother to her children and grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Odell Adams, grandson, Wesley Dunchoff, brothers, Odalee Phillips, C.B. Phillips, John Phillips, Gene Phillips, and a sister, Vera B. Kirkland.
She is survived by her children, Charles (Evie) Adams, Donnie (Rene) Adams, Ronnie Adams, Stevie (Becky) Adams, Michael (Angie) Adams, Caroline Cook, sisters, Mittie Pitts, brother, R.V. Phillips, ten grandchildren, and eighteen great-grandchildren.
