Eliza Mae Peverill, a resident of Cottonwood, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 82.

 

Funeral services for Mrs. Peverill will be held at 3 PM Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Ramah Primitive Baptist Church with Pastor Winston Jay officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.

 

Mrs. Peverill was born August 11, 1932 to the late Amos Rufus and Annie Mae Howell Sellers. She was a graduate of Cottonwood High and also Asbury College. Mrs. Peverill was a Methodist Pastors wife who taught Sunday School, had a puppet ministry and did many tasks for the church during their 30 plus years of ministry.

 

Mrs. Peverill is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Vernon Peverill.

 

Survivors include two daughters, Amy and Joseph Ashby, Stone Mountain, GA, Sue and Anthony Harris, Davenport, IA; two sons, Amos Peverill, Lynchburg, VA, Tim and Ranae Peverill, Manhattan, KS; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
