Mrs. Emma Irene Griswold of New Brockton passed away Saturday, May 4, 2013 in Enterprise. She was 89.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at the El Bethel Assembly of God Church with Rev. Steve Comer and Rev. Johnny Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in the Old Tabernacle Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory directing. The body will be placed into the church 1 hour before service time. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 5 until 7pm. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Day Spring Hospice.

Mrs. Griswold was born August 27, 1923 in Coffee County to the late John S. and Ada Simmons Pinckard. She was a member of the Christ Community Church of God.

Survivors include her husband of 74 years, Claybron Griswold, New Brockton, 2 sons: Shelby Frank Griswold and Anthony Griswold (Joyce) all of New Brockton, 3 grandchildren: Erik Griswold, Tim Griswold and Amanda Chandler, 2 great grandchildren: Austin Griswold and Andrew Griswold, several nieces and nephews.
