Mrs. Eunice Henderson Mercer, age 98, of Altamont Springs, Florida and formerly of Dothan, passed away Thursday, March 13, 2014 in Florida.

 

Born June 20, 1915 in Pike County, Alabama to the late John and Mary Jane Harden Henderson, Mrs. Mercer worked at S Brannon Men’s Store doing alterations. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing, gardening, flowers and travelling. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles T. Mercer and 10 brothers and sisters.

 

Survivors include her daughter, Betty Tolle; her grandchildren, William Mark (Dot) Tolle, Stephen Scott Tolle, and Charles Corning (Angie) Tolle; her great-grandchildren, Billy Tolle, Bobby Tolle, Cody Tolle, Jacob Tolle, and Gabrielle (Will) Crooks; her sister, Jimmie Lee Barr; her sisters-in-law, Christine Henderson and Jewell Henderson; a special niece, Ann Holland; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

 

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 11 AM at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Billy Rich and Reverend Danny Henderson officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 10 until service time.

 

Serving as pallbearers will be Lynn Henderson, Bobby Jo Henderson, David Henderson, Johnny Lee, Larry Hicks, and Edgar Hoyte Jones.

 

The family will be accepting flowers.
