Mrs. Evelyn Grace Ritter of Samson passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at home.  She was 92. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 2, 2013 in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home with Rev. Andy Blackmon officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers the family request the memorial contributions be made to the, American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718.

Mrs. Ritter was born in Geneva County on May 28, 1920 to the late Jessie James and Bertha May McCrary Buxton. Mrs. Grace loved to travel with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In additions to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Ritter, Jr.; two sisters, Jeanett Hopkins and Mary Sue Holly.

She is survived by one son, Gary Jay (Sandra) of Panama City Beach, FL; two grandchildren, Brett Jay (Mary) of Las Vegas, NV and Brook Jay of Chicago, IL; four great grandchildren, Samantha, Maxwell, Lily, and Thomas Jay all of Las Vegas, NV; one sister, Elaine Owens (Gatha) of Harlem, GA, and several nieces and nephews.
