Mrs. Evie Nell Parrish Edwards, age 78, of Slocomb passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015 at her home.
Born February 18, 1937 in Pansey to the late William Grady and Eunice Mendheim Parrish, Mrs. Edwards enjoyed hummingbirds and during her later years, fishing and travelling. She enjoyed spending time with her family and her Dachshund, Fella.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, James Harwell Parrish; her sister, Willine Pellem; and her husbands, Norton Coker, Otis Wells, and Frank Edwards.
Survivors include her daughters, Tracy (Phillip) Merlino and Teri (Dewayne) Colbert; her son, Dean Allen Wells; her grandchildren, Ashley Erin (Brian) Merlino Curtin, Charles Allen Wells, Katelyn Shaye Merlino, Brandi Lynn (Daniel) Adams, Courtney Colbert, Alyssa Lynn Wells, Alicia Leigh Wells, Hailey Nicole Wells, and Jessica D. Schauer; her great-grandchildren, Madison, Anthony, Jason, Allyson, Cheyanne, Hunter, Heidi, Zayden, and Mia; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM, Tuesday, December 15, 2015 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home. Funeral services and burial will follow in Thonotosassa, Florida at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Gentiva Hospice, 2740 Headland Avenue, Dothan, AL 36303.
