Fannie Bell Mills Gaylord, a resident of Cowarts, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center after an extended illness. She was 99.

Funeral services for Mrs. Gaylord will be held at 2 PM Sunday, April 21, 2013 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Brother Jonathon Barron officiating. Burial will follow in Crestlawn Memorial Cemetery with Southern Heritage directing. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Gaylord was born August 4, 1913 in Houston County, Alabama where she was a lifelong resident. Mrs. Gaylord was a devoted wife and mother to her family.

Mrs. Gaylord was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Maxwell Gaylord; daughter, Maxine Gaylord Moore; son, James Maxwell Gaylord and a grandson, Brent Gaylord.

Survivors include three sons, Benny (Ruby) Gaylord, Webb, Thomas Gaylord, Cowarts, William Gaylord, Cowarts; two daughters, Sue (David) Johnson, Mary Gaylord both of Cowarts; daughter in law, Marjorie Gaylord, Cottonwood; 11 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; 13 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
