Mrs. Geraldine Gamble Tew of Dothan passed away Monday, October 17, 2016. She was 91.

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Heritage Baptist Church with Reverend Van Clack and Reverend Donald R. Tew officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 P.M. Wednesday, October 19, 2016. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Heritage Baptist Church or to your favorite charity.

Mrs. Tew was a member of Headland Avenue Baptist Church and a charter member of Heritage Baptist Church where she served as secretary for 35 years. She also taught the Winsome Sunday School Class for over 50 years.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years James R. Tew, parents Earley Y. Gamble and Nannie Mae McCraney Gamble, sister Annette Gamble and sister-in-law Janet Hamm Gamble.

Survivors include sons James Earl Tew and his wife Vallie Strickland Tew of Wooster, Ohio; Donald R. Tew and his wife Becky Forehand Tew of Cottonwood, AL; Dwight A. Tew and his wife Renee Mims Tew of Thompson Station, TN ; brother Earl Gamble of Headland, AL; grandchildren Lydia (Jimmy) Makofsky, Robyn (Doug) Laditka, Erin (Dylan) Ulis, Ava (Monty) Morrow, Zackary Tew, Stephen (Ashley) Tew, Emily Tew, great-grandchildren Riley and Rosalyn Makofsky; Will and Anna Laditka; Chase and Carter Ulis; Lucas Tew, and Kinsley Morrow.
