 Mrs. Geraldine Shirley

 

Mrs. Geraldine Shirley of Newton passed away Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at Wesley Manor Nursing Home.  She was 72. 

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, July 26 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb with Rev. Thomas Harrison and Rev. Paula Bond officiating. 

Mrs. Shirley was born on February 22, 1941 to the late David O’Neal and Annie Reeder Turner. 

In addition to her parents, one son, Marvette Dean; one grandson, Louis Mark Dean; and two brothers: Jr. Holland and Daniel David Turner preceded her in death. 

Survivors include two daughters: Elizabeth Burger (Brian), Dothan and Rita Dean, Newton; two sisters: Rev. Paula Bond (Craig), Midland City and Kathy Dickerson (Phillip); two brothers: Wayland Turner (Patricia) and Ray Neal Turner; one daughter-in-law, Audrey Dean; one sister-in-law, Sandra Turner all of Newton; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
