Mrs. Gladys Louise Moat of Dothan passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at her residence. She was 80.


Funeral services will be held at 1 P.M. Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Jerry Harden and Sister Brenda Yon officiating. Burial will follow in Madrid Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, May 3, 2016. Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice.


Mrs. Moat is preceded in death by her husband Silas Moat, parents Henry C. Jordan and Delia Ovida Phillips Jordan, 4 grandchildren, 4 brothers, 2 sisters, and 2 sons-in-law.


Survivors include children Beulah Mae Dunn (David) of Georgetown, GA; Shelly Jones of Dothan; Cathy Kirkland (Roy Patterson) of Dothan; Ann Kittson (Don Rose) of Dothan; Faye Dyson (Willie “Bones”) of Dothan; Sue Kirkland (Eddie Joe) of Madrid; Angela Wofford (Jim) of Dothan; James Moat (Robin) of Abbeville; Paul Moat (Stephanie Downer) of Dothan; brother James Walter Free of North Carolina; 32 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, and special nieces, nephews, friends and family.


A special thanks to Gentiva Hospice for all their love and care.


Pallbearers will be the grandsons.
