Obituary: Mrs. Grace Peacock Killingsworth


 


Mrs. Grace Peacock Killingsworth of Slocomb passed away Wednesday, May 8, 2013 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan.  She was 93. 


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 10, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Byrd officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.  


The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. 


Mrs. Killingsworth was born on December 24, 1919 in Geneva County to the late Thomas E. and Mary Blount Peacock.  She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church 


In addition to her parents, her husband, William Ernest Killingsworth and one daughter, Ruth Killingsworth, four brothers and three sisters preceded her in death. 


Survivors include two sons: Gerald (Judean) Killingsworth and Donald (Sue) Killingsworth both of Slocomb; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
