Obituary: Mrs. Hazel Tew

 

 

Mrs. Hazel Tew of Dothan passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at her home. She was 79.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 13 in Sorrells Funeral Home Chapel in Slocomb with Rev. Mike Grimes officiating. Burial will follow at New Teamon Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. 

Mrs. Tew was born January 2, 1934 in Geneva County to the late James William and Carrie Beatrice Graves. She was a member of Grandview Baptist Church of Dothan. 

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Grady B. Tew, Dothan; two daughters: Diane Thomley, (Preston) and Becky Hullar; two sons: Ricky Tew (Becky) and Tim Tew, (Beth); one sister, Louise Harris and one brother, Bibb Graves (Betty); eight grandchildren: Ben Thomley, Joey Thomley, Nikki Harrison, Ross Tew, Sam Tew, Josh Tew, Hannah Tew and Suzanna Tew; two great-grandchildren; Dawson and Savannah; nieces and nephews.
