Mrs. Helen Frances Seay of Geneva, Alabama passed away Saturday, December 5, 2015.  She was 80.


Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2015, in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Dr. Mike Shirah officiating.  Burial will follow in the Whitewater Baptist Church Cemetery in Holmes County with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday beginning at 1:00 p.m. and continue until service time.


Mrs. Seay was born August 10, 1935, in Lakeland, Florida to the late Carlos King and Flossie King Helms.  After several years of military life with her husband, they returned to Holmes County where they owned and operated Seay’s Grocery for several years.  She also owned and operated a beauty shop for 23 years.  Mrs. Helen enjoyed attending the Geneva Senior Center where she had been a member for the past few years.  She was a very loving and devoted mother and grandmother.


In addition to her parents, her husband, Billy O’Neal Seay, and a granddaughter, Jessica Seay, as well as her step father, John Helms, preceded her in death.


Survivors include three children: Deborah Harstvedt, Danny Seay, Kathy and Tony Woodham all of Geneva; three grandchildren: Michael and Alicia Woodham, Jared and Misty Seay, and J.C. Harstvedt, Jr.; five great-grandchildren; two brothers: Johnny and Laura Helms, and Jimmy Helms all of Geneva; other extended family and friends.
