Mrs. Inez Hammond of Enterprise, Alabama passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2015.  She was 85.


Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 25, 2015, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home in Geneva with Minister Billy McKee officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pleasant Ridge United Methodist Church Cemetery with Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory of Geneva directing.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, May 24, 2015, from 6 until 8 p.m.


Mrs. Hammond was born January 21, 1930, in Darlington, Florida to the late James Joel and Dora Lavada Hornsby Maloy.  For a number of years she was a faithful member of the College Avenue Church of Christ in Enterprise.  She was a very loving mother and grandmother and will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her.


In addition to her parents, her husband, Noble Hammond, three brothers: Durwood, Carl and Gene Maloy, one sister, Duva Maloy, three sisters-in-law: Ireta Maloy, Erma Nell Maloy and Lommie Hammond, two brothers-in-law: Bill and Hugh Hammond, as well as three nephews: Jim Dunn, Bryant Joel Maloy and Hugh Hammond all preceded her in death.


Survivors include one daughter, Debora Hammond Quiring and husband Rob of Enterprise; grandson, Sean Leonard and wife Margaret of Birmingham; sister, Nell Dunn; sister-in-law, Carmoleta Maloy, both of Samson; several nieces, nephews, many friends and other loved ones.


Serving as pallbearers will be Rob Quiring, Sean Leonard, Merwyn Maloy, Tony Williams, David Nicometo and Ken Sutley.
