Obituary: Mrs. Iris Jeanette Bagwell Sherwood

 

Mrs. Iris Jeanette Bagwell Sherwood of Slocomb went home to rest with the angels on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 15, 2017 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb.  Interment will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10:00 a.m. and continue until service time. 

Mrs. Sherwood was born November 19, 1934 in Easley, South Carolina to the late Forest Elbert and Eudell Elizabeth McCrea Bagwell.  She was a loving Mama, Grandma and Nana who will be greatly missed. 

In addition to her parents, her husband, James Walter Sherwood preceded her in death. 

Survivors include two daughters:  Stacy Lee Allen (John) of Slocomb, Deborah Ann Dansby Tenzohua (Santiago) of Slocomb; one son,  Kevin David Sherwood (Glenda) of Slocomb; nine grandchildren:  Victoria, Kenny, Crystal (Sedrick), Jamie, Ashley (Péricles), Kristen, Elizabeth, Erica and Emma; three step-grandchildren:  Casey (Heather), Corey (Ashley), and Sydney; great grandchildren:  Jordan (Austin), Jheri, Tyler, Baylee, Saige, Paige, Christain, Dakota, Zachary and August; step great grandchildren:  Alycety, Evany, Jaden, McKinley, Destiny, Emery, Oktober and Lane; sister, Mattie Ruth Cannon; brother, Forest Elbert Bagwell, Jr. (Delane); several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
