Mrs. Jacqueline Brown of Dothan passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014.


Born April 18, 1931 in Wayne County, MS, Mrs. Brown was a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi and a retired educator and a founding member of Highland Park United Methodist Church.


Mrs. Brown was preceded in death by her husband, William Gaylord Brown.


She is survived by four children, Angela Brown Bailey and her husband Chip, Mary Brown Singletary, Cynthia Brown Reyner, and William McCaa Brown and his wife, Maria. Mrs. Brown is also survived by six grandchildren, Whitney Ward Simon (Cole), Mary Cathryn Singletary (Adam Bouillon), Sara McCaa Singletary, Webster Clark Reyner III, William West Brown, and Simmons McCaa Brown. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Lucy McCaa Simon and Harry Parker Simon.


A private family burial was held at Memory Hill Cemetery with Reverend Clint McBroom and Chaplain Jack Wingate officiating and Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Highland Park United Methodist Church, 1619 South Park Avenue, Dothan, AL  36301.
