Mrs. Janice Sellers Saxon, age 66, of Cottonwood passed away Thursday, January 26, 2017.

Born April 20, 1950 in Cottonwood to the late Wallace Eugene and Ora Mabel Nichols Sellers, Mrs. Saxon attended First Baptist Church of Cottonwood. She will be remembered as a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was an awesome cook who loved animals, especially her Chihuahua, Mia.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bo Whitehead and her grandson, Zeb Saxon.

Survivors include her husband, Winston Saxon; her children, Heather (Dereck) Womack and Jason (Payton) Whitehead; her step-children, Michelle (Stanley) Gatlin, Pamela Saxon-Matyjasik, and Lamar (Renee) Saxon; her sister, Jerri Lynn Sellers; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; numerous other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM, Saturday, January 28, 2017 from the First Baptist Church of Cottonwood with Reverend Jimmy Bolin and Reverend John Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Ramah Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until 2:30 PM prior to the service.

The family will be accepting flowers or contributions may be made to the Dothan Animal Shelter.
