Jeanette Hollingsworth, a resident of Pansey, died Saturday, February 27, 2016 at her residence. She was 86.

Funeral services for Mrs. Hollingsworth will be held at 2 PM Monday, February 29, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Jackie Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 1 PM at the church.

Mrs. Hollingsworth “Granny” was a devoted mother and grandmother and loved by all in her community. She will be remembered for her delicious pound cakes, brownies and banana nut bread.

Mrs. Hollingsworth is preceded in death by her parents, Charlie D. and Alice Locke Batson; husband, Walter M. Hollingsworth; three brothers, Robert, James and Charles Batson; sister, Pearline Tye.

Survivors include three sons, John and Shalene Jordan, Gordon, Randall and Lisa Hollingsworth, Pansey, Scott and Alayne Hollingsworth, Stanley, NC; two daughters, Joan and Lanny Trawick, Judy Jordan Rodrigues, both of Pansey; nine grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; three sisters, Beatrice Corbin, Geraldine Headly and Doris Pierce.
