Obituary:  Mrs. Joann Bryan Asbel

 

 

Mrs. Joann Bryan Asbel of Samson, Alabama went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, April 26, 2015.  She was 81. 

Funeral services will be held at  2:00 pm. on Wednesday, April 29, 2015 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Geneva with Rev. Johnny Wiggins and Rev. Bobby R. Mock officiating.  Burial will follow in the Esto Community Cemetery, Esto, Florida. 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 28, from 6 until 8pm. 

Mrs. Asbel was born November 25, 1933 to the late Ellis and Ida Mae Haller Bryan. Mrs. Asbel was a member of the Trinity Church of God.  She loved her dogs Lucky and Baby and would speak of them often to anyone who would listen.  

In addition to her parents, her husband, Rev. Charley Franklin Asbel, daughter, Shirley Ann Brant, and son-in-law Roy Kirkland, preceded her in death. 

Survivors include three daughters: Velma Brant (Butch), Samson,  Glenola Lamb (Willie), Samson, and Lois Kirkland, Graceville, Fl.; one son, Alvin Westfall, Brent, Al; 22 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and other extended family members.
