Mrs. Joyce Carlson Clark, age 81, of Dothan passed away Wednesday, September 10, 2014.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 12, 2014 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Thursday, September 11, 2014 at the funeral home.

Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Covenant.

Mrs. Clark was a longtime member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church. She was born in Gardner, Mass., April 1933, the daughter of Carl and Elsie Carlson. Mrs. Clark retired from retail ladies wear, Before and After Shop, Nicole’s Dress Shop, owner and operator, after thirty years. She also was a volunteer at Extendicare Nursing Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, John L. Clark.

Survivors include her sons Larry Clark and his wife Page of Dothan; Dr. Greg Clark and his wife Mary of West Monroe, LA; Rusty Clark and his wife Sandra of Maylene, AL; sister Pat Poole and her husband, the late Ruben Poole of Dothan; brother Norman Carlson of Dothan; grandchildren Nicky Clark Graham (Bobby); Jennifer Clark (Nick Belcher); Nathan Clark (Kelly), Tabitha Clark, Tyler Clark, and great-grandchildren Gray Thomas Clark.
