Mrs. Judith Arlene Ann Scott, age 72, a resident of Ariton died Thursday June 26, 2014 at Dale Medical Center following an extended illness. 

A Memorial Service will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday July 2, 2014 in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home directing. 

Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the family. 

Mrs. Scott was born on February 7, 1942 in White Plains, NY. She was the daughter of Charles Wilbur Brainard and Dorothy Mae Waite Brainard.  Judith was a home healthcare aide.  She moved to the area from Conklin, NY in 2005 and was of the Catholic faith. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gerald Samuel Scott; daughter, Cynthia Jaworski; son, Thomas Scott; an infant son; brother, Lee Brainard; a sister; and a grandson, Shawn Wilde. 

Survivors include: two daughters, Lisa Smith (Ozark) and Susan Slavin (Binghamton, NY); a brother, Dale Brainard (MN); 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren.
