Levonia Smothers Williamson, 87, of Dothan, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 15, 2014 at Selma Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church prior to the services and at other times will be at the home of her daughter, 111 Rosewood Drive, Dothan, Al.

 

Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Gentiva Hospice.

 

The family especially thanks the caring extended family from Gentiva Hospice for their compassionate care over the past few months.

 

Levonia was a lifelong resident of the Dothan area. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and a member of Selma Baptist Church.

 

Mrs. Williamson was preceded in death by her beloved husband, of 66 years John, who passed away last year.

 

Surviving are son, Richard (Janie) Williamson, daughter , Janice W. (Jerome) Nall, all of Dothan; four grandchildren, Casey (Jill) Williamson, Caleb (Jamie) Williamson all of Baton Rouge, Colby (Lindsey) Williamson, Birmingham; Pamela (Eddie) Bynum, Dothan; seven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a beloved sister-in- law, Elizabeth Williamson, Dothan.
