Heaven gained another Angel Sunday, April 21, 2013, Lillian Marie Mathews. She was 64.

Funeral services for Mrs. Mathews will be held at 3 PM Wednesday, April 24, 2013 in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage with Reverend Fred Bacher officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Southern Heritage directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday, April 22, 2013 from 5 PM until 7 PM.

Flowers will be accepted.

Mrs. Mathews was born in Houston County March 17, 1949 to the late Virgil and Esther Forehand Butler. She retired from GTE after 20 years of service and most recently worked as a Security Officer for DSI. Mrs. Mathews enjoyed cooking for her family and will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mrs. Mathews is preceded in death by two sisters and five brothers.

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Bill Mathews; son and daughter in law, Randy and Wendi Mathews, Dothan; daughter and son in law, Jennifer and Jason Anderson, Dothan; three grandchildren, Blake and Adam Mathews and Hayden Anderson; two sisters, Linda Gail Wuest (Ray), Geneva, Faye Meadows, Dothan; brother, Johnny Mack Butler (Rosie), Panama City; many nieces and nephews which loved her dearly.
