Mrs. Lorene  Hegwood Duncan, age 95, a resident of Cottonwood died early Thursday July 24, 2014 at her residence after a brief illness. 

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Saturday July 26, 2014 at the Mt. Enon Baptist Church with Kendall Glover of Glover Funeral Home directing.  Burial will follow at the Piney Grove F.W. Baptist Church Cemetery in Chipley, FL. 

The family will be receiving friends at the church from 2:30 p.m. until 3:15 p.m. Saturday prior to services.  Flowers will be accepted or contributions may be made to the Mt. Enon Baptist Church Building Fund, 3167 Iris Rd., Dothan, AL. 36301. 

Mrs. Duncan was born on November 14, 1918 in Georgia the daughter of Luther Hegwood and Jeanie Carr Hegwood.  She moved to Dothan from Chipley, FL. In 1958.  Mrs. Duncan was a homemaker and a member of the Mt. Enon Baptist Church. 

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Olen Q.L. Duncan; grandparents, Ed & Lizzie Carr; 4 brothers; two son-in-laws; David Hughes and John Hall. 

She is survived by: 2 daughters, Beverly Hughes, Cottonwood; Sybil Hall, Rock Hill, S.C.; 3 sons, Brent Duncan (Charlene), Rochelle, Ga.; Clint Duncan (Debbie), Dothan and Trent Duncan, Dothan; 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren. 

Pallbearers will be: Trent Duncan, Brent Duncan, Clint Duncan, Tyler Duncan, Matt Hughes, and Jonathan Hall. 

Glover Funeral Home of Dothan has been entrusted with the arrangements.
