Obituary: Mrs. Lougenia "Jean" Pippin

Mrs. Lougenia "Jean" Pippin  fell asleep in death on Thursday, December 24, 2015 at Flowers Hospital just a few days shy of her 84th birthday.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 26, 2015 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home & Crematory in Slocomb with Ken Leffler officiating.  Interment will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Saturday from 2:00 p.m. until service time.

Jean was born December 28, 1931 in Geneva County to the late William Herman and Mary Lee Thompson Beck.  On August 25, 1950 she married the love of her life, Raymond Pippin and they were happily married for over 65 years.  She was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses in 1960 and worshiped with the Geneva congregation where she devoted her life to teaching the bible to others. Jean loved her family, friends and flowers! She was a truly special person, soft spoken, with so many special gifts. She sprinkled those gifts to her family, friends, and anyone who needed a listening ear. Everyone who knew her loved her. She will be truly missed.

In addition to her parents, one sister, Cassie Lee Beck; one brother, Wilmer Beck preceded her in death.
