Obituary: Mrs. Martha B. Adams


 


 


Mrs. Martha B. Adams of Slocomb passed away Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at her residence. She was 84. Funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Fadette Pentecostal Ministries with Rev. Johnny Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends at Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. The body will be placed in the church one hour before service.


Mrs. Adams was born August 12, 1928 in Slocomb to the late E.H. and Addie B. Cox Berry. She was retired from the Van Heusen shirt factory. She was a member of the Fadette Pentecostal Ministries. A sister Lucille Keel and a brother Leo Berry preceded her in death.


 Survivors include her husband of 66 years James Huey Adams, Fadette; one daughter, Phyllis Flournoy (Bobby), Fadette; one son, Kevin Adams (Tonya), Fadette; one grandson, Todd Flournoy (Laresa), Malvern; two great-grandchildren: Ethan and Emma Flournoy, Malvern; two step grandchildren: Preston Hayes and Kathlynn Norman, Fadette; one brother; Joe Berry (Mary); Slocomb; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
