Mrs. Martha Fay McCay Cook of Dothan passed away Monday, November 14, 2016. She was 79.


Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Henry Johnson and Keener Batchelor officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.


The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 to 11 A.M. Thursday, November 17, 2016, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.


Mrs. Cook was a hard worker who always put others before herself. She was a godly mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved her family dearly.


She is preceded in death by her parents Thomas Hodges and Mary Beatrice McWhorter Hodges Davis, her first husband C.A. “Mac” McCay, brothers Nathan Hodges, Weldon Hodges, and sisters Loretta Burrell and Mary Maddix.


Survivors include her husband Cecil Cook, Sr. daughters Crystal McCay, Janice McCay Johnson, step-daughters Sherline Hudson, Lynn Laham, step-son Cecil Cook, Jr., grandchildren Kari McLean (Paul), Kaci Wilbourn, Elenda Arnold (Seth), Melia West, Kelli Hill (Ryan), great-grandchildren Morgan, John Dalton, Madison and Reagan McLean, Lexi Lawrence, Mekenzie Wilbourn, Lily and Lacy Arnold, Aubre West, Dylan and Jude Hill.
