Charlotte was born and raised in Pinckard, AL. She lived most of her adult life with her husband of 46 years in Napier Field, AL. She also lived in New Orleans, LA and Dallas, TX a few years when her husband’s work required him to transfer. Charlotte was a compassionate, outgoing, friendly person. A few of her favorite passions were photography, scrapbooking, gift giving, collecting Coca-Cola items and loving her sons, grandchildren, family and friends. She also enjoyed playing “Dress-Up” with her grandchildren, dressing as the Easter Bunny at Easter, and especially as the “Bag Lady” for her family and friends at birthdays and retirements. Her clever gifts for everyone were amazing. While those of us she left behind celebrate her life and sorrow over her passing, we all know there is a new Angel in Heaven.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Pete Andrews and Jimmie Lou Green Andrews, and one brother, Bob Andrews.

Survivors include her husband, Gaylon Allen of Dothan; sons, Gaylon Allen, Jr.  of Pinckard, AL; Marc C. Allen and his wife, Keli A. Allen of Midland City, Al; Ryan A. Allen and his wife, Tracey of Newton, AL; sister, Pam Austin and her husband, Gary of Dothan; brothers, James Andrews of Pinckard; Andy Andrews of Pinckard; grandchildren, Ashley, Jada, Christopher, A.J. Troy, Bree Anna, Alyssa, Dana, Shelby, Andrew, mother-in-law, Evelyn Yon, and several nieces and nephews.
