Mrs. Mary Dean Saunders Clayton of Newville passed away Monday, March 2, 2015. She was 73.

 

Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at the Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends Hosea Parker and Coley M. Holloway officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 7 P.M. Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Flowers will be accepted. The casket will be closed during visitation and prior to the service. The family will be gathered at the home of her son, Allen Spivey, 209 Pinehurst Dr. Dothan, AL.

 

Mrs. Clayton was a member of Malvern Baptist Church.

 

She is preceded in death by her husband Freddie Clayton, parents Charlie D. Saunders and Robbie Kate Enfinger Saunders, and one brother Charles Saunders.

 

Survivors include daughter Kathy Woodham( Joel) of Newville; son Allen Spivey of Dothan; brothers Royce Saunders (Sybil) of Malvern; Jimmy Saunders (Becky) of Malvern; grandchildren Nickey Walker (Jason Guenther), Allison Kate Spivey, Mickey Woodham (Gail), Ricky Woodham (Elaine), great-grandchildren Braden Walker, Chris Woodham (Hannah), Jessica Woodham (Brett), great- great-grandchild Mallory Woodham, sister-in-law Jean Saunders, special sister-in-law and friend Jewel Condrey (Sam), and several nieces and nephews.
