Mrs. Mary Hazel Pearce Massey, age 81, a resident of Headland, died Tuesday September 22, 2015 at her residence after a brief illness.

Mrs. Massey was born on October 10, 1933 in Houston County the daughter of Oscar and Alma Maddox Pearce.  She was a homemaker and a graduate of Houston County High School.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eddie L. Massey, Jr.; and a beloved poodle “Sassy”.

Survivors include: 2 daughters, Lorie Windsor (Tim), Headland; Debbie Gary, Dothan; 2 sons, Eddie Massey, Grimes; Donnie Massey, Pinckard; 5 grandchildren; Hannah Windsor, (special granddaughter & caregiver); Genna Van Rope, Brandy Hartzog, Keisha Massey, and Lee Massey; 5 great-grandchildren. 

The family would like to say a special Thank You to the staff of First Choice Hospice.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
