Mrs. Mary Madeline Wilkes, age 84 of New Brockton, AL, passed away Monday, January 19, 2015 in Enterprise, AL.  Mrs. Wilkes was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rev. Jack Wilkes.  The Wilkeses pastored numerous churches in Alabama and served as missionaries in Africa for 8 years.


    Funeral services for Mrs. Wilkes will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at Enterprise First Assembly of God.  Ministers will be Rev. Robert H. Creel, Rev. Billy Cardwell, Rev. Shawn Crosby and Rev. Mike Medley.  Visitation will be at 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. with the funeral following at 11:00 A.M.  Burial will follow at McGee Cemetery on Rowe Bridge Road in New Brockton.  Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to Assemblies of God Foreign Missions Dept., 1445 Booneville Avenue, Springfield, MO 65802 in her memory.


    She is survived by her sons, Craig Wilkes of Atlanta, GA; Cary Wilkes of New Brockton, AL; her granddaughter, Leah Wilkes of Fairhope, AL; her former daughter-in-law, Sidney Cartee of Fairhope, AL; her three sisters, Rebecca Creel (Robert); Linda Pouncey both of New Brockton; Edwina Culp (Russell) of Dothan, AL; her sister-in-law, Martha Wilkes of New Brockton, AL; a dear friend of many years, Mary Eunice Russell of Enterprise, AL; several nieces and nephews who cherish her memory.


    Serving as pallbearers will be Andrew Creel, Darren Heaslip, Stephen Culp, David Woods, Steve Wilkes and Tommy Newsome.
