Mary E. Moring, a resident of Dothan, died Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was 83.

 

Graveside services will be held at 11:45 AM Monday, November 3, 2014 at Tolbert Baptist Church with Rev. Stacy Stafford officiating. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until 11 AM prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wiregrass Humane Society, PO Box 1045, Dothan, AL 36302.

 

Mrs. Moring was born August 27, 1931 in Henry County, Alabama to the late Marvin and Dewey Mae Hodges Penuel. She worked for Slocomb Oil Company was the Town Clerk of Columbia and retired from Spectra Care. Mrs. Moring was fond of quilting and reading and was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

 

Mrs. Moring is preceded in death by her husband, Gene Moring.

 

Survivors include two sons and daughters in law, Larry E. and Linda Mills, Dothan, Jeffery and Ardith Moring, Daleville; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren; two sisters, Jean and Charlie Starling and Lynette Forehand, Ashford.
