            Mrs. Mary Ruth Kirkland of Enterprise, AL passed away Thursday, August 29, 2013.  She was 86.

 

            Funeral services will be at 3:00 pm Friday, August 30 in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home and Crematory with Rev. Royce Morrow officiating.  Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday beginning at 2:00 and will continue until service time.

 

            Mrs. Kirkland was born September 2, 1926 in Samson, AL to the late Joseph Freeman and Martha Coon Ellenburg.  She was a member of the Chancellor Assembly of God Church.

 

            Survivors include 1 daughter, Debbie McCoy (Freddy), Geneva, AL; 1 son, Ken Kirkland, Enterprise; 5 grandchildren: Ken Kirkland (Savanna), Tammy Quattlebaum (Shannon), Keith Kirkland (Brandy), Scott McCoy (Traci), Brad McCoy (Haley); numerous great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
