Maudie Ree Forrest Brown, 85, widow of James Edward Brown, passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 at the home of her son, surrounded by her loving family.


 


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday in Clearman Chapel at Southern Heritage Funeral Home with Bobby Forrest officiating. Burial will follow in Eastside Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. tonight at the funeral home.


 


Born in Geneva County, Alabama, Maudie was a daughter of the late Malcolm Leroy and Bonnie Lou Jane Vanlandingham Forrest. She is a member of Eastside Freewill Baptist Church.


 


Surviving are a son, Jerome Brown, Dothan, Al; two daughters, Lynda (Mike) Whitaker, Black, Al and Kris (Terry) Knight, Dothan, Al; a brother, Bobby (Glenda) Forrest, Dothan, Al; a sister , Madrue (Tom) Majors, Black, Al; grandchildren, Pamela Bond, Jennifer Howell, Allyson Falgout, Jeremy, Tennille and Chad Whitaker, Andee Johnston and Hunter, Kaleb and Colton Knight and eight great grandchildren.
