Mrs. Mitchell Louise (Bob) Nowell Buie of Ashford went home to be with her Lord and Savior; Friday, April 5, 2013, at her residence. She was 90.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3 P.M. Sunday, April 7, 2013, at Center Baptist Church with Reverend Marcus Murdock officiating. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will be receiving friends at the church from 2 to 3 P.M. Sunday, April 7, 2013, one hour prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted.

 

Mrs. Buie was born September 30, 1922, in Houston County. She was a member of Center Baptist Church in Webb.  She was active with the Columbia. Ashford and Webb Senior Citizen Centers.

 

She is preceded in death by, husband Travis Buie; parents Barney and Bertie Nowell, infant baby girl, grandson, Shawn Buie, three brothers, James Audrey, Shellie Nowell, Barney Nowell, Jr.

 

She is survived by son, Herbert Buie and Cathy of Columbia, brother, Hoover (Corky) Nowell of Cowarts; sisters, Frances and Edward Guy of Pascaqoula; Ms. Betty McKenzie of Evergreen, AL; granddaughter, Shana K. Snell of Columbia and step-grandson, Christopher Beck and Lacey of Columbia, great grandchildren Kyle Snell of Columbia, Kaleb Snell of Slocomb, step-great grandchildren, Christopher Masen Beck and Charleigh Kate Beck of Columbia, and several nieces and nephews.
