Mrs. Opal Jenkins, age 95, of Dothan passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016.

 

Mrs. Jenkins was born November 25, 1920 to Daniel Cook and Lucy “Lela” Woodham Cook. She was a member of the Abundant Life Assembly Of God where she enjoyed being involved in church activities. She will also be remembered for her love of cooking. 

 

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Bits Jenkins, and her sisters, Annie Pope, and Hautie Rivers. 

 

Survivors include her son, Danny Jenkins (Cassandra) of Dothan, AL., grandson, Michael Jenkins, and her sister, Maxine Thompson.

 

Funeral Service will be held at 10 AM, Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Ward Wilson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Kerry Kizer officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery, with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing.

 

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 PM, Friday, May 20, 2016 at the funeral home.
