Obituary: Patricia Freeman Peters 

 

Mrs. Patricia Freeman Peters of Slocomb made her entrance into Heaven, Friday, May 17, 2013. She was 57. 

A celebratory service honoring her life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, in the chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Norris officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home of Slocomb directing.  

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. and will continue until service time.  At all other times the family will be at the home of her mother, 208 Arrington Street in Slocomb. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Southern Care Hospice, 2756 Montgomery Hwy. Suite 2, Dothan, AL 36303. 

Patricia was born on November 6, 1955 in Columbus, GA to the late Cullen Freeman and Alene Flowers Sellers. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Don Peters, her step father, Willie Sellers, her sister, Cathy Vigo and her sister-in-law, Andrea Sellers. 

She is survived by one son, Adam Peters (Megan), Hartford; mother, Alene Sellers, Slocomb; sisters: Judy Norris (Jerry), Dothan  and Sharon Smith (William) Slocomb; brother, Richard Sellers, Perry, GA; several nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends. 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Southern Care Hospice and their entire staff, especially to: Shannon, Dorinda, Wanda, Kathy, Michelle,  Kristy and Cookie.
