Mrs. Peggy Culverhouse of Ariton, Alabama left this world for her heavenly home where she triumphantly joined Her Maker Sunday, June 30, 2013, after a long and courageous battle with cancer.  She was 51.


Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Ariton Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Walsh, Rev. Ben Amlong and Rev. Guy Causey officiating.  Burial will follow in Center Ridge Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home.  Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 2, 2013, from 5-7 p.m. at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home.  Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to Ariton Baptist Church.


Peggy was born July 13, 1961 in Phenix City, Alabama, daughter of Paul and Ruby Harden.  Peggy was a 1979 graduate of Ariton High School where she became best friends in 6th grade with Robin Culverhouse.  She and Robin were united in marriage December 27, 1980 and continued their best friends’ status for 40 years.  Peggy was a very loving and caring mother and was so proud of becoming “Sweet Pea” to her precious grandson, Rob.  She was a dedicated member of Ariton Baptist Church. 


Survivors include her devoted husband, Robert “Robin” Culverhouse of Ariton; one daughter, Ciara Culverhouse, of Ariton; one son and daughter-in-law, Tullie and Sami Jo Culverhouse, of Ariton; one grandson, Rob Culverhouse; her parents: Paul and Ruby Harden, of Roeton; one brother and sister-in-law, Glenn and Martha Harden, of Roeton; niece and nephew, Jennifer and Jabe Harden.  Peggy will always be loved and remembered by a large host of loyal friends and family.
