Peggy Timmons Fariss, 75, of Cowarts, Alabama, passed away Sunday, January 4, 2015 at her residence, with her loving family at her bedside.

 

 Memorial Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 10, 2015 at Crestlawn Cemetery with Hospice Chaplain Paul Cowley officiating. 

 

Born on November 25, 1939 Peggy was a daughter of the late William H. and Mable Kube Smith. She worked for Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Sarasota, Florida for over twenty five years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Misty Creek Golf Club in Sarasota, Florida, and the Dothan National Golf Club in Dothan, Alabama.

 

The family would like to say a special thanks to Bernestine Oliver, Lupe Vasquez, and Wiregrass Hospice for all the care and love they shared with Peggy.

 

Peggy was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Fariss.

 

Surviving are three daughters, Debra Cason Hughes and Sandra Lee Dunaway both of Cowarts, Alabama, and Amy Kaye and her husband Joe Cason, Arlington, Georgia; several brothers and sisters; seven grandchildren, Jimmy Cason, Samantha Smith, Michael Skoyec, Todd Cason, Jonathon Cason, Bradley Cason and Katie Cason; and several great grandchildren.

 

Southern Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the Fariss family.
