Robbie Jewel Marshall, 85, of Gordon, Alabama, was called to her heavenly home on Friday, January 16, 2015.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. today, Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Clearman Chapel of Southern Heritage Funeral Home in Dothan, AL with Reverend Scott Fulford officiating. Interment will follow in Springhill Freewill Baptist Church Cemetery in Gordon, AL with Southern Heritage Funeral Home directing. Robbie retired from Southeast Alabama Medical Center in 1994 after twenty one years as a labor and delivery nurse.

 

Serving as active pallbearers will be grandsons, Justin Mitchell, Nick Nowell, Cole Mashburn and Andrew Marshall and son-in-laws, Bill Mitchell and Van Mashburn.

 

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 18, 2015 at the funeral home prior to the service.

 

Flowers are being accepted or contributions may be made in her honor to Springhill Freewill Baptist Church, 2763 Spring Hill Church Road, Gordon, AL 36343.

 

Mrs. Marshall was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Kate Douglas; brothers, C.H. Durell, Russell and Willie Douglas; sisters, Betty Baker and Lucille Hatcher.

 

Surviving are her husband of sixty four years, Bill Marshall; two daughters, Linda Mitchell (Bill) and Crissie Mashburn (Van); one son, Sonny Marshall (Teresa); brothers, John Douglas (Lily) and Randy Douglas (Luverne); sisters, Jean Parker, Blondell Conrad and Dinnah Lingo (Rex); eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; one beloved pet, Angel.
